Appraisal

A house erected as one of a pair (including 31215032) representing an integral component of the early nineteenth-century built heritage of Ballinrobe with the architectural value of the composition suggested by such traits as the compact plan form; and the diminishing in scale of the openings on each floor producing a graduated visual impression. Although recently the subject of a comprehensive renovation programme, the elementary form and massing survive intact together with quantities of the historic or original fabric, both to the exterior and to the interior, thereby upholding much of the character of a house forming part of a neat self-contained ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in Main Street.
