Single-arch railway bridge over stream, opened 1895. Closed, 1934. Reopened, 1936. Closed, 1937. Now disused. Tuck pointed snecked rock faced sandstone walls between tuck pointed snecked rock faced sandstone battered abutment walls with rock faced hammered sandstone "battlemented" coping. Single round arch with drag edged rock faced sandstone ashlar voussoirs. Sited spanning stream with unkempt embankments to stream.
A bridge identified as an integral component of the late nineteenth-century civil engineering heritage of the environs of Contae Mhaigh Eo [County Mayo] on account of the connections with the extension of the Mayo Branch of the Midland Great Western Railway (MGWR) line opened (1895) by the Achill Extension Railway (AER) Company with the architectural value of the composition suggested not only by rock faced surface finish demonstrating good quality workmanship, but also by the elegant "sweep" of the arch making a pleasing visual statement at a crossing over a minor stream.
