Five-arch masonry road bridge, built in 1845 by the Commissioners for the Improvement of the Navigation of the River Shannon. Random coursed cut limestone walls with upstream and downstream U-cutwaters and ashlar voussoirs to segmental arch-rings. Cut stone parapet walls. Automatic lift bridge, c.1970, replaced swing bridge. Mooring posts on each river bank to south of bridge and quay to south-west. Date plaque bears inscription about bridge's history.
This bridge is at a major crossing point on the River Shannon. It forms a pleasing and interesting group with the quay, mooring bollards and beacon. Roosky Bridge plays an important role in the economic and social life of Roosky.
