Altar located in each pointed-arched niche. Located on raised mound in a field enclosed by a random coursed limestone wall accessed through a pointed-arched entrance.
Located on an elevated site, The Four Altar is a prominent landmark. It is a site of historical and religious significance within the area. Built with locally-sourced materials it follows old construction techniques. The Four Altars stands as a testimony to the Roman Catholic community of the area during penal times in Ireland.
