Detached three-bay two-storey rendered house, built c. 1900, formerly used as commercial premises. Evidence of shop sign fascia and display window to east side of south elevation. Pitched slate roof, clay ridge tiles, unpainted smooth-rendered chimneystacks, concrete verge cappings, uPVC gutters on eaves corbel course. Unpainted ruled-and-lined smooth-rendered walling. Square-headed window openings, painted stone sills, painted one-over-two timber sash windows to first floor, two-over-two to ground floor. Square-headed entrance door opening, plain-glazed overlight, painted flush timber double doors, stone step. Street fronted, enclosed yard to rear (north), single-storey rubble stone outbuildings to east and west, rendered boundary wall to south-west.
This building is of a kind once typical in small towns in Ireland consisting of modest business premises combined with living accommodation. Surviving remnants of sash windows and a slate roof reference the ubiquitous palette of materials adopted in such buildings.
