Detached four-bay two-storey rendered commercial premises, built c. 1890. Set back, single-bay two-storey entrance wing to south. Pitched slate roof, hipped to entrance bay, clay ridge and hip tiles, red brick corbelled chimneystack, half-round cast-iron gutters on painted timber projecting eaves. Painted smooth-rendered ruled-and-lined walling to ground floor, painted roughcast to first floor, painted brick quoins, painted brick first floor sill course, projecting smooth-rendered plinth. Elliptical-headed window openings to ground floor, square-headed to first floor, painted brick dressings, painted moulded terracotta sills, painted timber fixed-light windows to ground floor, painted one-over-one timber sash windows to first floor. Square-headed door openings, painted brick surrounds, painted timber panelled doors, plain-glazed fanlights, door to north of main elevation built up to house cash dispenser. Street fronted, metal railings to approach to side entrance, projecting forward from adjacent two-storey buildings to north and south.
This robust building utilises good quality brick detailing, now painted, to enhance its otherwise plain façade. It contributes to a group of buildings on this stretch of Lord Edward Street, all of which are distinctive in their own right.
