End-of-terrace two-bay two-storey rendered house and shop, built c. 1880, now derelict. Two-storey pitched roof return to rear. Pitched slate roof, clay ridge tiles, unpainted smooth-rendered corbelled chimneystacks, half-round cast-iron gutters on eaves corbel course. Painted smooth-rendered ruled-and-lined walling, straight V-jointed quoins to south, unpainted smooth-rendered gable-end and rear walls. Square-headed window openings, painted masonry sills, painted one-over-one timber sash windows. Painted timber shopfront, blank sign fascia with dentilled cornice terminating in profiled carved consoles with pedimented caps, fluted pilasters, plain-glazed display windows on stall risers returning to central recessed entrance with pole-moulded corner mullions, painted timber quadrants at heads, painted timber double doors with panelled bottom panels and segmental-headed glazed upper panels, plain-glazed overlight, painted carved timber cartouche over. Street fronted, similar building to north, gap site to south, rubble stone boundary wall to rear.
This, otherwise plain, property is enlivened by a very good timber shopfront with a fine carved cartouche over the entrance doors. Although modest in form this property and its neighbour represents one of the few historic structures remaining in the area.
