Triple-arch rubble stone road bridge, built c.1750, spanning Barora River. Random-coursed rubble stone spandrels and parapet with Scotch coping. Irregularly formed segmental arches with undressed rubble voussoirs with rubble stone soffits over random-coursed rubble abutments with footings encased in concrete. Pair of rubble stone V-cutwaters with rendered coping and concrete casing to base. Random-coursed rubble stone wing walls.
A medium-sized bridge spanning the Cavan and Meath border, of relatively early construction, which forms an integral component of the civil engineering heritage of the county. The architectural quality of the bridge is evident in the construction of its arches and supports as well as its general composition. The sweeping wing walls which follow the course of the road make a strong aesthetic contribution to the area while the stonework which is visible from the road adds to the traditional character of the area.
