Three-arch bridge, built c.1860, carrying road over Leannan River, incorporating single arch of earlier bridge of c.1800. Rubble stone walls, now overgrown, with rendered string course and rubble stone parapets with rendered copings. Segmental arches with field-stone voussoirs, remains of render to soffit, and rubble stone triangular cut-waters. Flanked by rubble stone boundary walls and hedgerows.
A bridge that is well detailed, with segmental arches, cut-waters and a string course. It is part of the civil engineering legacy of Donegal and is a testament to the craftsmen who built it in the mid-nineteenth century.
