Detached three-bay single-storey outbuilding, built c.1860. Pitched straw-thatched roof with rounded profile, thatch having mesh over and roped and pegged to stone pegs to eaves and gables. Rubble stone walls. Square-headed openings with replacement timber battened doors; possible small window opening to road gable, now blocked. Sited at right angle to road and to side of single-storey house of possibly similar date, latter having rear wall to road.
This attractive and well-maintained outbuilding is distinguished by its fine rounded thatched roof, secured with ropes tied to pegs in the walls. This is the typical traditional technique of the region. The stonework is well fitted and constitutes a good example of traditional stone masonry. It is a rare survival of a thatched outbuilding.
