Double-leaf wrought-iron gate to road end of structure with dressed square-plan piers having rounded caps, and with stile to north side. Lych gate gives access to rectangular-plan graveyard, walls of which are of rubble limestone with rock-faced coping stones. Appraisal

This one of only a small number of lych gates in Ireland. Its timber structure is enhanced by chamfered edges to the timbers, and the biblical quotation to the bargeboards. It forms an attractive entrance to the graveyard. The carved limestone and marble to the Whitsitt family adds further interest to the site.
