Single-arch limestone road over railway bridge, built c.1850. Roughly dressed blocks to spandrels built to courses with neat pointing, cut-stone string course to impost level, elliptical arch with rock-faced voussoirs and roughly dressed soffit, and low parapets each with rock-faced coping and similar string course to base of external side. Piers to ends of elevations project from face of bridge.
This well constructed bridge demonstrates good quality masonry typical of railway construction in the latter half of the nineteenth century. Its detailing is of good quality, the mass of the structure being enlivened by the string courses and piers. Still in use, this bridge has maintained its integrity.
