Appraisal

The Morris mausoleum is one of several within the Church of Ireland graveyard at Castleblayney. It is an intact example of a late nineteenth/early twentieth-century burial place and is enhanced by its railed top and the fine granite monument with inscriptions to those interred below. The doorway to the burial chamber may indicate an earlier structure.
