Figurative bronze sculpture, erected 1982, by Oisín Kelly. Bronze male nude figure on stylized chariot with two galloping horses surrounded by geysers and set in rectangular basin with brown brick parapet and reconstituted coping. Basin set within forecourt of Irish Life Centre, facing onto Lower Abbey Street.
Designed by Oisín Kelly this bronze group was executed in a loose textured manner with horses in mid-gallop animated by the moving water. This renowned sculptor worked briefly under Henry Moore and his work is dotted around Dublin City adding dynamism to many streets and squares.
