Corner-sited end-of-terrace five-bay two-storey house, built c.1800, with blank gable to southeast. Pitched slate roof with gable-end stepped chimneystacks. Rendered walls. Square-headed openings to first floor and cambered to ground floor, with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows and replacement timber battened door. Sited at southern corner of medieval marketplace of Chapelizod.
This house is very prominently sited on the ancient market square of Chapelizod. Its scale, simple form and stepped chimneystacks are attractive features contributing to the village quality of the streetscape. The retention of its timber sliding sash windows enhance its appeal.
